| |
| Arena simulation software is a mathematical simulation software that is used to study the processes involved in a real system. It assists in understanding the performance and the behavior of the real system by creating a model which behaves like the original system. |
| |
| |
| Arena Simulation Software offers an easy and simple way to dynamically replicate existing business processes. The user friendly features such as drag and drop of modules to build models that can be inputted with current or existing process data to accurately simulate processes makes Arena Simulation Software a simple yet effective simulation tool. |
| |
| |
| The process involves the following steps. Initially, the data of the process or the real system is collected and a blueprint of the process is created. In the second step, a flowchart of the system is built by using inbuilt templates provided by Arena’s software. Next, the collected data is fed into the flowchart. The collected data of the real system may include the process time of each machine, the operator time, the entire cycle of each system etc. At this stage, an animated model of the real system is created. The model that is customized to the real system is run and each and every process of the facility is analyzed. Finally the results are obtained. Once the model is built, it is run; experiments are performed on the model using Arena’s simulation software. The behavior of the real system can be modified using Arena simulation software. |

| |
| Different conditions can be tested and represented by the model by utilizing Arena simulation software. With Arena Simulation Software, it is also possible to look at alternative systems if it is in the process of being designed. Another model can be built in a similar manner and the experiments and simulation can be made using Arena simulation software. Arena simulation software is a decision support system used in designing physical systems. The advantage of using Arena simulation software is that it gives various alternatives of how a real system can be simulated or modified to give better results. Arena simulation software creates 2D models of processes enabling a cost effective alternative to simulate business processes. |

| |
| Arena simulation software can be helpful in two ways, one, it can be used to simulate models of real systems even before the construction or installation of the system, this also adds to the advantages of Arena simulation software. Two, the simulation can be performed on existing systems to identify bottlenecks. |
| |
| Arena simulation software has various applications such as in the manufacturing and service sector. In the manufacturing sector Arena simulation software can be applied in automotive parts and assembly, Apparel and textiles, Food and beverage processing, Pharmaceutical and Mining. Under the service sector, Arena simulation software can be applied in Airlines and airports, Warehouse and distribution, Banking and finance, Customer service organizations, Defense logistics, Railways and transportation. It is also extensively used for training and research purposes in the technical and management education fields. |
